Victorian, circa 1880. 3.9ins high, 7.9ins wide, 6.9ins depth. Victorian Pottery Co. (VPC) Majolica sardine box which features fish lying on lilies.



Colouration: green, brown, ochre, are predominant.

Small flake to one of the fishes fins.



KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage cracks to the rim;



glaze misses to the underside.





Dish: Good. No restoration.

Small flake to the lower rim.



Staining from use.





Wear to both rims.











KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing.
