Victorian, circa 1870. 10.8ins high, 7.5ins wide, 3ins depth. George Jones Majolica wall pocket which features a basket with branch surround.
White ground version. Colouration: white, brown, green, are predominant.







Bears a pattern number, '3273'.

CONDITION: Good.

Flaking to front and interior of basket,







one leaf to basket,



and ends of some of the branches.







KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing;





a few small glaze misses to basket sides and interior,





and lower leaves to front of basket.





RESTORATION. Two stabilised and retouched hairlines to interior.





Filled chips to end of branches at base of basket.
