Small Holdcroft Majolica pond lily basket

Victorian, circa 1870. 5.1ins high, 6.5ins wide, 4.1ins depth. Holdcroft Majolica basket which features pond lily leaves and flowers.



Four flower bud feet. Mottled ground version.







Colouration: green, brown, turquoise, are predominant.







Bears a pattern number, '306'. Book reference not found.

Condition

CONDITION: Good.

A few small flakes to the flowers





and to two of the stilt marks to the underside.



Very slight wear.







RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched cracks to handle.









Retouched flakes to handle and one to the rim.
