Majolica Palissy fish on leaf wall plate
Victorian, circa 1890. 10.6ins high, 9.1ins wide, 2ins depth. Cunha Portuguese Palissy Majolica wall plate which features three fish.
Colouration: green, grey,dark blue, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Cunha pottery.

CONDITION: Generally good.
Some small flakes to the edge of the leaf.
KILN EFFECTS: craze lines;
shrinkage crack to the reverse.
RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched hairlines to all of the fish's tails.
Two filled chips to edge of leaf.
