Large Hugo Lonitz Majolica Hummingbird & Lizard Mirror
Victorian, circa 1900. 21.9ins high, 15.7ins wide, 2.8ins depth.
Lonitz Majolica mirror which features three hummingbirds perched amongst ivy, with a small lizard raiding their nest. Colouration: blue, green, pink, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Lonitz pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1423'.

Condition
CONDITION: Good. Very slight wear to mirror.
KILN EFFECT: a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the ivy leaves and vine.
RESTORATION: Remodelled beak to right bird.
Filled chip to tip of one leaf next to left bird.
Retouched flakes to end of feet.
Repair to panel (not pottery) on reverse that holds the mirror in.
