George Jones Majolica sardine box which features three fish lying on a bed of seaweed. Colouration: brown, green, turquoise, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the George Jones pottery. Bears a pattern number, '3547'. English diamond registration mark for the date 9/10/1876.

CONDITION: Dish: Good. Bruise to one corner merlon.
Two small flakes to under rim.
Slight wear to the rim and base rim.
RESTORATION. Top rim corner reglued and join retouched.
Small retouched chips/flakes to rim.
Cover: Good. Small flake to rim.
Slight wear around the rim.
KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze.
RESTORATION. One corner, running across one fish reglued and joins retouched.
