Majolica palissy crocodile-like reptile figure
Victorian, circa 1890. 5.7ins high, 11.8ins wide, 5.1ins depth. Portuguese Palissy Majolica figural which features a crocodile-like reptile.
Colouration: green, brown, ochre, are predominant.

Condition
CONDITION: Generally good.
KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage crack to the head;
firing pit above right eye;
kiln detritus caught in the glaze;
small glaze miss to the tail;
overglazed shrinkage line along the tail;
glaze accumulation to the underside and underside of one claw.
RESTORATION. Retouched flakes to all four feet,
and above right eye.
