Majolica 'eat thy bread' platter with fish

Victorian, circa 1880. 11ins high, 12.8ins wide, 2ins depth. Majolica bread platter which features a large fish lying on a begonia leaf,
with the border reading ' EAT THY BREAD WITH THANKFULNESS'.



Colouration: green, brown, ochre, are predominant.

Good. Light scratches from use.







KILN EFFECTS: touch marks to the fish's lips.



RESTORATION. Filled chip to the reverse.
