Majolica Palissy lizard figure

Victorian, circa 1890. 1.6ins high, 11.2ins wide, 4.7ins depth. Majolica figural which features a lizard. Colouration: green, brown, are predominant.

Generally good.

Small flakes to both front feet

and tip of tail.

KILN EFFECTS: kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the lizard's back

and lower jaw;

shrinkage crack to front right leg.

RESTORATION: remodelled hind left foot;

re-glued end section to tail;

retouched flakes to underside.
