Victorian, circa 1890. 1.6ins high, 3.9ins wide, 3.3ins depth. Portuguese Palissy Majolica figural which features a frog.
Brown ground version. Colouration: brown, cream, ochre, are predominant.
The piece bears marks which we cannot attribute to a particular source.

Condition
Good. Small chip to toe on each back foot.
KILN EFFECTS: kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the frog's nose;
glaze accumulation to the underside.
RESTORATION: front and back left legs reglued and joins retouched;
retouched flakes to feet and toes.
