Minton Majolica frog and mushroom sweetmeat bowl
Victorian, circa 1861. 4.3ins high, 4.7ins wide, 4.3ins depth. Minton Majolica sweetmeat dish which features three frogs under a mushroom.

Colouration: pink, cream, green, are predominant.





The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1109'. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1861.

Condition
Generally good. Small bruise to the rim.

KILN EFFECTS: over glazed shrinkage line to the bowl;

overglazed chip to base edge.

RESTORATION: Old restoration to stem of mushroom,


one frog's bottom lip

and another frog's left knee.
