Victorian, circa 1890. 4.7ins high, 8.3ins wide, 3.9ins depth. Antonio Alves Cunha Portuguese Palissy Majolica teapot which features a coil of rope.

Colouration: grey, black, cream, are predominant.

Some small flakes to base associated with stilt marks.

Small flake to rope body of teapot.

KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the interior and exterior;

glaze accumulation to the underside of handle and spout.

Cover: Good. No restoration.

Chip and two small flakes to reverse.

Slight wear to knotted handle.
