George Jones Majolica tureen with cover which features a large fish lying on a bed of reeds.
Colouration: green, brown, grey, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the George Jones pottery. English diamond registration mark for the date 1871.

Condition
Cover: Generally good.
KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to the reverse.
RESTORATION: Filled chips to rim under fish's mouth and tail.
Base: Good. No restoration.
Small flake to basket exterior.
Slight wear to underside.
KILN EFFECTS: small firing pits to interior.
