Royal Worcester Majolica bird and leaf wall pocket

Victorian, circa 1880. 11.8ins high, 5.5ins wide, 3ins depth.



Royal Worcester Majolica wall pocket which features a bird perched on a branch above a woven nest wall pocket.
Turquoise ground version. Colouration: turquoise, brown, green, are predominant.

Condition

CONDITION: Generally good. Some small flakes to end of branch.



Very slight wear to front of pocket and to the reverse.





KILN EFFECTS: kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the bottom tip of leaf.



RESTORATION. Remodelled section to small branch.



Both wings, beak and end section to tail feathers reglued and joins retouched.
