Large Holdcroft Majolica bird vase
Victorian, circa 1870. 17.1ins high, 9.1ins wide, 9.1ins depth. Holdcroft Majolica vase which features a small bird (a wren), butterfly, white flowers and green leaves. Colouration: cobalt blue, ochre, turquoise, are predominant.
Bears a pattern number, '230'.

Wear to the high points of the molding.


KILN EFFECTS: bird's right leg was never moulded on;
