Minton Majolica lemons on leaf preserve server
Victorian, circa 1860. 3.9ins high, 8.3ins wide, 9.6ins depth.
Minton Majolica serving dish which features three lidded lemon pots, sat on leaves.
Colouration: green, ochre, turquoise, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1860.

CONDITION: Stand: Good.
No restoration. A few small flakes to interior of central lemon and to one leaf.
Slight wear to branch handle.
KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing to interior of central lemon;
piece of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to central leaf;
shrinkage crack where branch splits.
Cover 1: Generally good. Wear to inner rim.
KILN EFFECTS: craze lines to the interior.
RESTORATION: Stabilized and retouched crack to one side of lemon.
Retouching to rim and one leaf.
Remodeled flower and buds.
