Wedgwood dragon lustre bowl

Circa 1920. 10ins diameter, 4.5ins high. Wedgwood dragon lustre imperior bowl.



Light blue mottled exterior decorated with three gilded celestial dragons and flames.
Gilt Greek key border around the rim and foot.



Mother of pearl interior decorated with small dragons (Ch'iu Lung), and a larger dragon in the center.



Gilt Papillon border around the inside of the rim. Wedgwood 'Portland vase' maker's mark and pattern number,'4829' (only visible at a certain angle) to underside.

Condition

Good. No restoration.

Some wear and scratching to the exterior and interior ground.





Some rubbing to gilt borders and motifs.











Rings very well.
