Delphin Massier Birds Around Well Flower Holder

Victorian, circa 1890. 13ins high, 10.2ins wide, 8.4ins depth. Delphin Massier Majolica flower holder which features eight colourful garden birds, perched around a well.

Unusually, this comes complete with the original bucket and chain.

Colouration: green, brown, yellow, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Delphin Massier pottery.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. Kiln effect: firing crack to underside.

RESTORATION. Firing crack retouched on base.

Top right bird reglued and join retouched.

Filled chip to rim of the well.

Retouching to a few paint losses.
