George Jones Blue Tit and Holly Preserve Pot and Lid

Victorian, circa 1875. 6.5ins high, 4.1ins wide, 4.1ins depth. George Jones Majolica preserve pot and cover which features a holly covered bird's nest, with blue tit finial.

There is an insert hole for a spoon (no longer present).

Colouration: brown, green and blue are predominant.

English diamond registration mark for the date 03/11/1877.

Condition

CONDITION: Generally Good.

Kiln effect: Thin glaze application to the interior.

RESTORATION. Remodelled wing tips. Stabilised and retouched crack to tail.

Retouched flake to the rim.
