Victorian, circa 1873. 5.9ins high, 11ins wide, 6.9ins depth. George Jones Majolica game pie dish which features a partridge finial on the lid, sitting amongst ferns and leaves.

The sides of the dish decorated with rabbits and leaves.

Oak branch handles to either end.

Turquoise ground version. Colouration: turquoise, green, brown, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the George Jones pottery. Bears a pattern number, '3416 11'.

CONDITION: Dish: Good. RESTORATION. Filled chip to one handle.

Cover: Good. RESTORATION. Filled chip to beak tip.
