
Victorian, circa 1870. 5.5ins high, 10.7ins wide, 10.2ins depth. George Jones Majolica strawberry server, spoon, sugar pot and creamer which features a bird (song thrush) perched on the rim between two hollow nests which form wells for the removable creamer and sugar bowl.
Strawberry flowers and leaves to the main dish.
Colouration: turquoise, brown, pink, are predominant.
Bears a pattern number, '2529'. English diamond registration mark for the date 08/03/1870.
CONDITION: Good. RESTORATION. Bird reglued and joins retouched.
Tip of beak with filled chip.
