Staffordshire King Charles Spaniels on Leaf Base

Victorian, circa 1860. 7.5ins high, 6.9ins wide, 2.8ins depth. Staffordshire Pottery figure which features a King Charles spaniel, stood on a leaf embellished base.

Dull gilt embellishment.

Condition

CONDITION: Generally good. Small chip to underside of foot.

Some small flakes around the lower base edge.

Slight rubbing to gilt.

KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to the base;

small firing pit below collar.

RESTORATION. Section to underside reglued and join retouched.

Retouched flakes to base. Retouched paint losses to dog's markings and eyes.
