
Circa 1880. 10.2ins high, 13.4ins wide, 1.8ins depth. Joseph Landais French Palissy Majolica wall platter which features two fish (a carp and a pike), an eel and a crayfish.
Intaglio patterned border and scalloped rim.
Colouration: blue, brown, yellow, are predominant.
The piece is signed, bearing a good maker's mark for the Joseph Landais pottery.
CONDITION: Good. RESTORATION. Small, filled surface chip to rim.
One crayfish leg and antenna remodelled.
Filled chips to eels dorsal fin.
Shallow chips/wear to the hanging holes on the reverse.
