Rare Cunha Palissy Majolica Grasshopper Figure

Circa 1890. 3.2ins high, 7.1ins wide, 4.4ins depth. Jose A Cunha Portuguese Palissy Majolica figure which features a grasshopper.

Colouration: green, brown, red, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Jose A Cunha pottery.

CONDITION: Generally Good. RESTORATION. Front left leg remodelled.

Stabilised and retouched cracks to both back feet.

One remodelled antenna.

Retouched flakes to end of tail.
