Mafra Palissy Majolica Fishes and Eels Wall Plate

Circa 1890. 9.3ins high, 9.3ins wide, 2ins depth. Mafra Majolica wall plate which features three fish and two eels laying on leaves. Shellfish around the border.

Colouration: brown, green, grey, are predominant. The piece bears maker's marks for the Mafra pottery.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. Inconspicuous chip to fin of one fish.

Tiny chip to eel gill.

RESTORATION. Filled chip to eels back.
