
Victorian, circa 1880. 14.9ins high, 5.9ins wide, 7.1ins depth. Holdcroft Majolica figural vase which features a heron stood on one leg, upon a rock, holding a fish in its beak.
The trumpet shaped vase behind is modelled in the form of leaves, reeds and bulrushes/cattails.
Colouration: green, brown, grey, are predominant.
This vase is a rarer size than the more commonly found, much larger (33 inch) version.
CONDITION: Very Good. No restoration. A flake to one leaf.
Slight abrasion to the fish mouth.
A scratch and very slight wear to the base.
