
Victorian, circa 1877. 7.1ins high, 15.4ins wide, 11.4ins depth. Minton Majolica game pie dish which features foxes at either end, peering slyly out of a burrow, looking at mallard ducks.
Ferns and leaves around the base.
Mushrooms and ivy on the lid.
Colouration: are predominant. The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery.
Bears a pattern number, '2062'. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1877.

Cover: Very Good. No restoration.
Dish: Generally Good. RESTORATION. Filled chip to both foxes left ears.
Filled chip to upper rim.
Stabilised and retouched crack from rim, down one side and half way across base.
Stabilised and retouched crack to leaf on base.
