George Jones Majolica Strawberry Basket

Victorian, circa 1874. 7.1ins high, 12.1ins wide, 12.2ins depth. George Jones Majolica strawberry server basket which features a mossy textured ground decorated with strawberry plant leaves and flowers. Naturalistic twig molding around the rim, which also forms the handle and the feet.

Colouration: turquoise, brown, green, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the George Jones pottery. Bears a pattern number, '3300 80'. English diamond registration mark for the date 09/05/1874.

Condition

CONDITION: Very Good. No restoration. KILN EFFECTS: glaze miss to the rim.
