George Jones Majolica Putti on Dolphin Centrepiece

Victorian, circa 1875. 15ins high, 12.6ins wide, 13.8ins depth. George Jones Majolica centrepiece dish which features a putti riding a dolphin, supporting a shell on his head.

The dolphin sits on a bed of coral and shells, which form four dishes.

Colouration: pink, green, turquoise, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the George Jones pottery. Bears a pattern number, '6'.

CONDITION: Generally Good. RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched crack to one of the turquoise shells.
