Minton Majolica Foxglove and Ferns Jardiniere

Victorian, circa 1860. 14.8ins high, 21.7ins wide, 17.3ins depth. Minton Majolica jardinière which features foxgloves, ferns and lush, leafy foliage on brown stipple ground.

Two green scroll handles on the shaped rim.

Brown ground version. Colouration: green, brown, pink, are predominant.

Bears a pattern number, '22'.

N.B: Though very rare, a matching base plate can be found for this jardiniere.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. Some small flakes amongst the foliage.

KILN EFFECTS: thin glaze application in patches around the rim. Some wear in same area.

RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched crack to base.

Three filled chips to foxglove leaves.
