Pair Joseph Holdcroft Bullrush Wall pockets

Victorian, circa 1880. Tallest is 10.6ins high, 6.3ins wide, 3.9ins depth. Pair of Holdcroft Majolica wall pockets which feature bulrushes (cattails) bound with ribbons, wrapped around a basket.

Colouration: yellow, green, turquoise, are predominant.

Condition

CONDITION: Vase 1: Good. KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage crack to the top ribbon;

shrinkage line to the sides.

RESTORATION. Filled chip to bulrush tip on side.

Filled chip to end of ribbon.

Vase 2: Good. RESTORATION. Filled chip to rim of basket.

Filled chip to bulrush tip on side.

Filled chip to top ribbon tips.
