Minton Majolica Frog On Gourd Cream Jug

Victorian, circa 1870. 4.3ins high, 3ins wide, 2.4ins depth. Minton Majolica creamer which features a frog sitting on top of a gourd.

Colouration: green, dark purple pink, are predominant. The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1588'.

CONDITION: Good. KILN EFFECTS: glaze run;

two small firing pits to nose.

RESTORATION. Retouched bruise to upper and lower mouth.
