
Victorian, circa 1880. 6.9ins high, 3ins wide, 3ins depth. Unidentified English Majolica pepper/salt shaker which features a seated cat, with a self-satisfied expression on it's face. Base in the form of a cage, impressed, 'IVE EATEN THE CANARY'.
Colouration: brown, green, yellow, are predominant.
CONDITION: Good. KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage cracks to the side of cat's face.
RESTORATION. One ear reglued and join retouched.
Filled chip to lower base edge.
