
Victorian, circa 1880. 7.1ins high, 3.1ins wide, 3.1ins depth. Unidentified English Majolica pepper/salt shaker which features a seated cat, with a self-satisfied expression on it's face. Base in the form of a cage, impressed, 'IVE EATEN THE CANARY'.
Colouration: white, brown, green, are predominant.
CONDITION: Good. KILN EFFECTS: firing crack around the join between the cat and the base.
RESTORATION. Filled chip to sprinkler.
Filled chip to the underside of the base.
