Minton Majolica Buttercups Jardiniere

Victorian, circa 1871. 13.6ins high, 11ins wide, 11ins depth. Minton Majolica jardinière which features white buttercups.

Cobalt blue ground version.

Colouration: cobalt blue, white, green, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1076'. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1871.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. KILN EFFECTS: a stable, but visible firing crack to the underside, which is also visible to the upper surface of the base.

RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched hairline to the rim.
