George Jones Majolica Bamboo Jug

Victorian, circa 1872. 6.9ins high, 7.5ins wide, 5.5ins depth. George Jones Majolica jug/pitcher which features bamboo-effect modelling to the exterior, with leaves sprouting from the handle.

Colouration: yellow, green, turquoise, are predominant. English diamond registration mark for the date 18/10/1872.

Condition

CONDITION: Generally Good. KILN EFFECTS: over glazed chip to the foot rim;

some crazing to the glaze.

RESTORATION. Filled chip to the foot rim.

Stabilised and retouched hairline to the rim and another to rim near the handle.
