Pair Minton Majolica Daffodil Vases

Victorian, circa 1867. Tallest is 7.3ins high, 4.3ins wide, 4.3ins depth. Pair of Minton Majolica vases which feature daffodils stood on bulb feet.

Minton blue ground version. Colouration: dark blue, green, white, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1200'.

Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1867.

Condition

CONDITION: Vase 1: Good.

KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage crack to one of the leaf tips.

RESTORATION. Filled chip to one petal.

Filled chip to rim.

Minor retouching to leaf flakes.

Vase 2: Good.

KILN EFFECTS: slightly uneven glaze application to the ground in places.

RESTORATION. Filled chip to rim.

Minor retouching to leaf flakes to leaves.
