The sampler is worked in silk threads on a linen ground, mainly in cross stitch. Simple line border. Colours . Alphabets A-Z in upper case and lower case and numbers 0-9.

Signed and dated, 'E GARWOOD 1817'.

Framed in an old wood frame with rippled, old glass.

Mounting: The sampler is loose mounted onto card and sealed with tape at the back.

CONDITION: Very Good. No holes. No stains. No stitch losses. Colours are all good and strong with no noticeable fading. No colour run. Neatly and evenly stretched. Frame in good condition, ready to hang.
