Circa 1835. 2.6ins high, 3.8ins wide, 0.3ins deep. Antique Miniature Sampler, c.1835, with Crowns.

The sampler is worked in silk on linen ground. Black thread used throughout. Alphabet A-Z in upper case. Four crown motifs with letters above.

Framed in an old wood frame with glass.

Mounting: The sampler is loose mounted onto board. Frame backed with paper and sealed with tape.

CONDITION: Good. A few small inconspicuous holes.

No stains. No colour run.

Stretching is slightly uneven, with a vertical fold line showing.

Frame showing some wear, but is structurally sound and in our opinion could be hung 'as is'.
