Delphin Massier Majolica Birds around Well Group

Circa 1890. 13.9ins high, 11.4ins wide, 8.5ins depth Delphin Massier French Majolica centrepiece which features seven colourful garden birds, perched around a wishing well.

Colouration: cream, yellow, green, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Delphin Massier pottery.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. Small flakes to one bird's head.

KILN EFFECTS: kiln grit caught in the glaze to the pool in front of the well.

RESTORATION. Two birds reglued and joins retouched.

One bird tail reglued and join retouched.

Retouched flakes to bird's beaks.

Remodelled hook to well.
