
Victorian, circa 1870. 14.2ins high, 15.7ins wide, 15.7ins depth Minton Majolica jardinière which features cupids/cherubs in various poses around the central band, ribbons above, oak leaves and acorns below.
Cobalt blue ground version. Colouration: cobalt blue, lavender blue green, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '923'. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1870.
CONDITION: Good. Abrasion to one cherubs arm.
Slight wear to interior from use.
RESTORATION. Two filled chips to the rim of the foot.
