
Victorian, circa 1873. 12.6ins high, 14.6ins wide, 13ins depth. Minton Majolica jardinière which features birds of paradise and flowers amongst blossoming prunus.
Minton blue ground version.
Colouration: Minton-blue, ochre, puce, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1679'. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1873.

CONDITION: Generally Good.
Shallow chip to rim.
Some wear to interior.
KILN EFFECTS: tiny glaze pops to the ground;
glaze run to the blue glaze.
RESTORATION. Filled chips all around the foot (foot possibly rebuilt).
