Majolica Boots & Brush Match Holder

Victorian, circa 1880. 3.7ins high, 3.1ins wide, 4.5ins depth. Majolica match striker which features a pair of boots next to a polishing brush on an oval base.

Colouration: brown, black, ochre, are predominant.

Bears a pattern number, '3'.

Condition

CONDITION: Good.

Some small flakes to lower base edge.

Slight wear to rim of both boots.

KILN EFFECTS: a few tiny specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the base.

RESTORATION. Filled under rim chip to lower base edge.
