
Victorian, circa 1870. 5.9ins high, 5.9ins wide, 3.9ins depth. Minton Majolica jug/pitcher which features oak leaves and acorns and a snail molded on the handle.
Colouration: green, brown, ochre, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '553'. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1870.
CONDITION: Good. No restoration.
Small tight hairline to rim.
KILN EFFECTS: slight glaze miss to the exterior;
slight staining to the interior;
crazing and a more pronounced craze line to the rim (under the glaze).
