
Circa 1880. 18.1ins high, 18.1ins wide, 6.7ins depth. Schiller Majolica wall plaque which features the head and shoulders of a lady, molded in deep relief.
Colouration: cobalt blue, cream, ochre, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Schiller pottery. Bears a pattern number, '224'.
N.B: there is an insert on the ladies' right shoulder, which once, perhaps held an accessory
CONDITION: Good.
A couple of shallow chips and flakes to the scroll work.
Small flake to lady's face and hair and one leaf.
KILN EFFECTS: a few glaze pops to brown and cobalt glazes;
crazing to the cobalt glaze.
RESTORATION. Filled chips to the rose and poppy in ladys hair.
