George Jones Majolica Blue Tit Preserve Pot & Lid

Victorian, circa 1873. 6.7ins high, 3.9ins wide, 3.9ins depth. George Jones Majolica preserve pot and cover which features holly covered bird's nest, with blue tit finial.

Colouration: brown, green, blue, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the George Jones pottery. English diamond registration mark for the date ??/11/1873.

Condition

CONDITION: Cover: Generally Good.

RESTORATION. Three stabilised and retouched hairlines to rim.

Filled chips to both wing tips.

Bird reglued and joins through tail and base retouched.

Pot: Good. KILN EFFECTS: glaze miss to interior of rim.
