George Jones Majolica Floral And Basketweave Pitcher

Victorian, circa 1878. 7.5ins high, 7.9ins wide, 6.9ins depth. George Jones Majolica jug/pitcher which features flowers and leaves on a basketweave ground.

Cobalt blue ground version. Colouration: cobalt blue, ochre, white, are predominant.

Bears a pattern number, '36/1111'. English diamond registration mark for the date 30/01/1878.

Condition

CONDITION: Generally Good.

KILN EFFECTS: some glaze run to the cobalt enamel.

RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched crack around the circumference just above the foot.
