Holdcroft Majolica floral basket

Victorian, circa 1870. 5.9ins high, 7.7ins wide, 3.9ins depth. Holdcroft Majolica basket which features flowers and leaves hanging from the branch-like handle.

Colouration: cobalt blue, turquoise, brown, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Holdcroft pottery.

Condition

CONDITION: Very good. No restoration. Small flake to one flower.

KILN EFFECTS: over glazed shrinkage lines to a couple of leaves; over glazed chip to the rim.
