Wmf Fairy With Dove, Lily Visiting Card Tray

Circa 1910. 8.7ins high, 11.8ins wide, 9.1ins deep. WMF Art Nouveau visiting card tray decorated with a fairy standing before two large lily leaves, holding a dove in her hands.

Impressed maker's marks including WMF, 'E', 'I/O', and '246' to the underside.

Illustrated on page 167, catalogue number 246, 'Art Nouveau Domestic Design from Wurttembergische Metallwaren Fabrik' published by the 'Antique Collectors Club'.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. No restoration.

Some small patches of tarnishing in places.

A few small dents to rim of tray and base rim.

A small number of light scratches to top of tray and fairy's right thigh.
