
pre-Victorian, circa 1820. 11.4ins high, 5.5ins wide, 4.7ins depth. Walton Staffordshire Pottery pearlware bocage group with a religious theme which features Elijah feeding two ravens, seated on a shaped hollow base.
The piece is titled, 'ELIJAH' . Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Open bottomed.
Maker's marks Walton molded ribbon.
CONDITION: Good. No restoration. One leaf tip chipped off, but inconspicuous due to position.
Some small frits to bocage leaf tips.
Kiln effects: glaze miss to the raven's wing;
flecks of stray coloured glaze in places.
